Changing lives through the power of learning, sharing and making music for more than fifteen years!
Shalom Music School was founded in 1998 as the Greater Center for Arts & Music, located at 4 kilo , Megenagna and Gerji Street. The Music School encompassed both of those organizations in addition to providing a regular schedule of instruction in private and group lessons in voice, many instruments, theory and music history, piano and violin. The founder Tihitena Taye dreamed of a community music school for Addis Ababa youth and saw that dream fulfilled.
Shalom Music is dedicated to inspiring artistic and academic excellence while preparing students for careers in the music and entertainment industry. Our cutting-edge educational offerings provide the information, skills and expertise necessary for musicians and creative professionals to achieve their goals.
